The work of Jean Cunion can be found at www.turnstonegallery.net
Jean Cunion lives and works in Ugglebarnby, a small village on the outskirts of Whitby.
Jean constructs her pots from stoneware clay, decorates them with coloured slips and glazes and fires them in an electric kiln. Jean also enjoys creating individual framed ceramic tiles and wall plaques, and is pleased to accept commissions.
Evident in her work is the influence of the arts and crafts movement, particularly tiles and domestic stained glass windows, combined with stylised detail of plant and insect forms.
