Vicki has been producing ceramics from home since 1990, near Grosmont in the depths of the North Yorkshire Moors. |
Inspired by the ceramics of the Far East, Vicki has developed individual Raku fired pieces. |
Work is burnished prior to biscuit firing, then decorated using slip-resist, during a second firing pieces are removed and reduced in sawdust. The resulting piece has a unique and tactile finish. |
She believes that "beautiful pots can only enhance daily living" and aims to reflect these beliefs in her work. |
