Harry has been enamelling for 15 years and learnt the art at workshops under the guidance of teachers of international repute.

Enamelling, which has been an art and craft since ancient times, is the melting and fusion of glass onto metal at temperatures around 800 degrees centigrade.

Harry's fascination is held by the spontaneous effects that the fusion of glass to copper, and all the variables which appear, with the flow of molten glass across the surface of oxidising copper.

Harry finds most satisfaction working with images that arise intuitively rather than out of the intellect.
