Anne has been painting from as far back as she can remember and says that "it was therefore a natural progression to study art and then become a professional artist."
Her work is about crystallising a moment and her interest often lies in the rhythms and tensions that exist in the landscape. Anne tries to express this with a coherence that reaches the onlooker, but is not so explicit that it precludes a contribution from them, in both reason and emotion. The marks provide both questions and answers, the outcome is never a resolution, and so the rhythm and tension continue.
Anne feels fortunate that she has been supported by many people who have purchased her work over the years. Her work has been distributed all around the globe to some remote and surprising places.
Anne hopes that her paintings will continue to stimulate people in the future and hold a place of value in their lives.
